Lava Stone, (also known as Basalt) is an igneous volcanic rock. It has solidified from molten lava, after conditions of intense heat and pressure.

Lava Stone is easily the oldest stone in the world, coming from the core of the Earth. As the lava bubbles to the surface and cools, it becomes porous and black, giving the stone a recognizable and aesthetic natural design.
